Ronda Rousey has non announced a decision about her future equally a professional person fighter, but UFC president Dana White does non expect her to return.
During an appearance on the UFC Unfiltered podcast, White said he had spoken to Rousey recently and did not go the sense she wishes to fight once again.
"Her spirits are practiced, and she's doing her own thing," White said Tuesday. Rousey, 29, is an Olympic statuary medalist in judo. Her championship fight against Holm at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Commonwealth of australia, drew a reported crowd of 56,214, the largest attendance in UFC history.
"She changed the world," White said. "She put female fighting on the map. She'southward been part of the biggest fights in the history of women fighting, and I hope those records can be cleaved. I don't know if they can, merely I hope they can."
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Nunes issued a public apology to Rousey for some of the comments she made about the sometime bantamweight champion in the aftermath of their fight.
"Allow me take a moment to explicate myself. I was overwhelmed with adrenaline, emotion and hurt at the time. I held so much in during the weeks prior to my fight with Ronda. I might have said or posted some things at the time that I at present realize was non the right thing to practice," Nunes wrote. "I want to repent to Ronda. Her fans and mine and the UFC also. Ronda is an amazing athlete and has done so much for this sport, especially for the women."
